I came into possession of my chrysocolla stone about four years ago when I met a man selling stones. Before I had met this man, I had not heard of it. I was first attracted to its brilliant glistening green. I also loved the shape. It is not smooth to the touch and feels more like light-weight sandpaper.
At times I carry it in my pocket. Other times, it is tucked away with other stones. Since the beginning of this year, it’s been resting on my laptop between the couplings of the oak leaf and rose hip and the chestnut and sprig of rosemary.
The tag that came with the stone reads:
Chrysocolla is first and foremost a Stone of Communication. Its very essence is devoted to expression, empowerment and teaching. The serenity of its turquoise-blue colour discharges negative energies, calms and allows truth and inner wisdom to surface and be heard. A peaceful stone, it emphasizes the power our words and actions have on those around us, and encourages compassion and strengthening of character.
Searching the Internet uncovers this about the stone.
Chrysocolla, the king of carbonate copper gemstones, is an alluring, vivid blue-green color and is often mistaken for turquoise because they share many visual similarities. … The rich, vibrant blue and green colors of chrysocolla are reminiscent of looking down upon the earth’s surface from space.
My stone doesn’t show any hint of blue to my eye, but many images of chrysocolla on the Internet are turquoise. Isla of Maura, the stone gather in the Castle Keepers epic fantasy series, has yet to reveal if she carries one of these stones.
When I think of the properties revealed on the Healing Crystals website, I imagine which character might need this stone the most. I feel they will reveal themselves in the next book, Gathered Stones.
Healing Crystals state:
Chrysocolla has been used with the Third-Eye to enhance meditation, bringing visions and knowledge of the sublime into conscious awareness.
Energy that delivers visions and knowledge could be very helpful to several characters. It’s a waiting game to see who is gifted this stone.
That should be interesting! I love that stone and need to get me one for my collectionl If the ‘non essential’ stores ever open again! 🙂

It’s an extremely pretty stone. The photo doesn’t do it justice. It is the perfect size for holding in the palm of my hand.
